Alternatively, if you previously purchased the pattern or acquired it via TheQuiltShow.com membership drive, that is all you need. The online class does not come with the pattern, so you will need it if you plan to join the fun.

This quilt is a throwback to a very unique design Ricky created when he was just starting to quilt. The design was actually lost for several years. It is a versatile quilt and can be made as a patriotic tribute quilt or simply a wonderful star-filled design made with your fabrics.

Take a close look and you will see that the points for the stars are nested in adjoining blocks so the stars are interlocked rather than separated into each block. The kit is available at www.rickytims.com or you can choose to use your own fabrics.

The class includes three video lessons and a three-part PDF with Ricky's newly revised version of the original pattern. The inaugural class begins on Saturday, March 4, 2017. The second lesson will post on Saturday, March 11, and the third and final lesson will post on Saturday, March 18.  After March 18, all three video lessons are available instantly. Don't worry if you get behind, the lessons permanently reside in your online account at Let's Quilt Together so you don't have to worry about losing them.

The kit which contains all the fabric for quilt top and binding is only available at www.rickytims.com. The kit is sold separately from this online class. Ricky Tims hand-dyed fabrics have a unique suede-like texture with a lovely soft hand. They are approximately 44" wide. The fabrics are individually hand-dyed in the USA at the Ricky Tims dye studios.

The version of Stars and Stripes Forever shown here features the Color Splash colorway from the hand-dyed fabric kit. Quilt finishes at 62" x 68" Kits are made to order. SUPPLY LIST Fabric: Based on 42" wide fabric.  7 Fat Quarters from an assortment of yellows 7 Fat Quarters from an assortment of reds  6 Half yards or 12 fat quarters  from an assortment of blues. 3 total yards of cream or your choice for star fabric. 1/2 yard your choice for binding Threads: Ricky suggests piecing with a medium gray, 50 wt. cotton thread for piecing.
